Are you ready to take your skating to the next level? If you have a desire to skate fast, exercise and have fun on the ice, then come and join us. We are a not for profit club that promotes the sport of Speed Skating. We welcome all skaters with basic skating skills. We encourage families to join and experience the pleasure of skating and exercising together. Our members’ ages range from 7 to 70 with skating abilities from basic to expert. Competition may or may not be for you – you can skate to enjoy or train to compete. Skaters are grouped by age and ability giving everyone time to safely enjoy the ice and coaching at their own pace.

Interested in giving Speed Skating a try?

Then here is what you need:

• Helmet (bike or hockey helmets will do)
• Gloves
• Skates (any skates are sufficient for starters)
• Pants closely fit at ankle (bicycling tights are ideal, but jeans will work for now)
• $10 paid to “Danbury Speedskating Club” – pay club secretary (or see info below for membership)
  
• Danbury Ice Arena session fee (see details below) paid at the front desk
• Basic skating ability: able to skate forward, backward, and cross over 
• Signed liability waiver

The sessions are open to all speedskaters who are members of DSC (see fall/winter membership information here).
Not a member yet? No problem....pay a $10 walk-on fee and skate with us.

This is independently to the fee every skater has to pay to DIA prior to the sessions. The rink is offering:
10 session pass for $150.00 ($15 per session) / 20 session pass for $260.00 ($13 per session) /
Single session ticket is $18.00
The passes do not expire and can be used next season, however they are not refundable.
Please purchase your pass from the rink at the front desk.

Skaters who attend are responsible to help put out and remove mats at the sessions.
